Have you heard the rumors about potential changes at German Brothers Marina?

Here’s the straight scoop and how you can help make it a reality.

GBM has applied to the Town of Canandaigua (ToC) for Incentive Zoning (IZ).  Under IZ, GBM proposes amenities to the ToC in exchange for a change in zoning that will allow GBM to provide new benefits to you and your community.

What amenities has GBM proposed to the ToC?

A Much Safer West Lake Rd (WLR)

  • No Boats/trailers parked on WLR to improve visibility for pedestrians and drivers
  • An "Active Shoulder" for walkers, runners, and bikers on WLR - one of a kind for WLR!

EVERYONE Can Access the Lake

  • 60' of Lake frontage dedicated for public fishing, picnicking, and scenic viewing
  • 10 Public Boat Slips available for transient use
  • Access to the Canandaigua Lake Water Trail for Kayaks, Canoes, SUP

Way better Parking - A whopping 115 parking spaces on the GBM west hill
Plus...

  • Public Restrooms open 24/7
  • Trails throughout, coordinating trail access with the ToC and other private landowners
  • A reduction of the square footage occupied by slips and mooring buoys

What will be new at the marina?

If the ToC approves the IZ application, GBM is thrilled to offer:

  • A much requested, two-story Food & Beverage facility to replace the existing service building
  • Expanded Ship's Store offering Ice Cream/Coffee Shop, Locker Room Facilities/Lockers for Slip Customers
  • More slips for rent in front of the marina
  • Up to 8 elegant lodges and one gathering lodge on the GBM west hill

Everyone in the Community Benefits!

  • West Lake Road will be even more beautiful with no boats/trailers on the road or the west hill
  • Modern stormwater management systems and sustainable building materials and techniques to protect OUR lake
